The second round of the Wyndham Championship was suspended due to lightning at 4:32 p.m., with the entire afternoon wave yet to complete their round.

Play is scheduled to resume Saturday at 7:30 a.m. The third round will feature threesomes off split tees from approximately 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Cameron Young is currently bogey-free and 7-under through fifteen holes and tops the leaderboard at 14-under. He seeks his first PGA Tour victory in his 94th start.

He has had four top-10 finishes in 20 starts this season, led by back-to back T4s at the RBC Canadian Open and US Open.

Young has advanced to the Tour Championship once in his first three seasons on Tour, finishing 19th in 2022.

Defending champion Aaron Rai of England, also bogey-free, is 6-under through thirteen holes and in second place at 13-under. Rai is attempting to become the first player to successfully defend at the Wyndham Championship since Sam Snead in 1956.

American Mac Meissner posted a 63, his career-low round on Tour, to reach 12-under and take a share of third place.

2022 Wyndham Championship runner-up Sungjae Im of South Korea is tied in third place after posting his second 64.

Following the Wyndham Championship, the top 70 players in the FedExCup standings will qualify for next week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship (the first of three events in the FedExCup Playoffs):
• FedEx St. Jude Championship (top 70 players following Wyndham Championship)
• BMW Championship (top 50 players following FedEx St. Jude Championship)
• Tour Championship (top 30 players following BMW Championship)

91 players in the field have a chance to move inside the top 70 based on their finish this week.

The Wyndham Championship also serves as the final opportunity for players to secure their spot inside the Comcast Business Tour Top 10, which rewards season-long performance for the top 10 players in the FedExCup standings at the conclusion of the FedExCup Regular Season. The Comcast Business Tour TOP 10 will share a $40 million bonus, with the No. 1-ranked played earning $8 million.
