The end of the 2025 LIV Golf individual season saw several players relegated after 13 events, most notably Henrik Stenson.
Stenson fell into the drop zone after finishing T22 in Indianapolis, meaning Ian Poulter leapfrogged him courtesy of finishing five places higher at the tournament.
In the end, the margin between retaining his place and dropping out of the breakaway league was just 0.38 points.

Anthony Kim, Andy Ogletree and Mito Pereira were also relegated, but Stenson is arguably the biggest name to lose his place ahead of the 2026 season.
There might be a reprieve if the Swede wins the International Series order of merit on the Asian Tour – or the LIV promotions tournament this winter, which affords one spot.
Where will Henrik Stenson be playing next year?
Ahead of the LIV Golf Team Championship this weekend, Stenson described his year as one of disappointment.
“On a personal note, obviously a disappointing season and a disappointing Sunday for me,” said the 2016 Open champion.
“Having done some good work on Friday and Saturday to put myself in a pretty good position, had a bad start and couldn’t rally back on Sunday. I made a couple of birdies coming home, but not enough to make up for the start.
“Yeah, all in all, a disappointment there, but yeah, this is the last week. This is the team event, so we’re going to go out and try our hardest here for the next three days, Friday through Sunday, and see if we can finish it off on a brighter note than we felt we did on Sunday.”
While a return to LIV could be possible as mentioned above, there are still a few avenues that the 49-year-old could explore.

The Asian Tour could be a pathway he goes down. Elsewhere, perhaps a return to the DP World Tour might also be on the cards?
He would need to pay the fines that he received for playing in conflicting LIV Golf events; however, this could certainly be a realistic way back to playing competitive golf in 2026.
Whatever happens, Stenson has plenty to think about in the months ahead.
