Global robotic mowing leader Husqvarna has signed on as an Official Partner of Australia’s two biggest women’s events in 2026, adding a dash of smart tech to what promises to be a blockbuster fortnight of championship golf featuring major winner Minjee Lee and rising star Grace Kim.
First up is the 2026 Women’s Australian Open at Kooyonga Golf Club (March 12–15), before the tour heads north to the 2026 Australian WPGA Championship at Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club (March 19–22), back-to-back weeks with elite fields.
And for Kooyonga, it’s a notable first.

The 2026 Women’s Australian Open will become the first major championship staged in Australia to utilise Husqvarna’s robotic mowers as part of tournament preparation, working hand-in-hand with the club’s greenkeeping team. It’s a smart blend of tradition and technology, with innovation supporting the pursuit of tournament-ready perfection.
Husqvarna’s robotic fleet is already in play at more than 1,700 golf courses worldwide, quietly trimming, refining and freeing up greenkeeping teams to focus on the finer details that championships demand. Consistency. Precision. Presentation. The small margins that matter.
The partnership follows Husqvarna’s recent announcement as Title Partner of the Husqvarna British Masters, further underlining the brand’s growing footprint in professional golf.

But this isn’t just about what happens behind the scenes.
Across both tournaments, Husqvarna will bring the technology front and centre with on-site activations, including live robotic mower demonstrations for fans, a chance to see the machines that are reshaping course maintenance up close.
Michael McDonald, Chief Commercial Officer at Golf Australia and the PGA of Australia, said the partnership reflects both confidence in the women’s game and a shared belief in innovation.
“Husqvarna’s partnership with the Women’s Australian Open and the Australian WPGA Championship is a strong endorsement of women’s golf in Australia and the continued growth of our major tournaments and events,” he said.
“This partnership will also showcase how innovation can enhance the future of golf.”
For Husqvarna’s Vice President Sales and Services, Pacific Region and Managing Director Australia, Pauline Nilsson, the move felt like a natural next step.
“After the Husqvarna British Masters announcement, we’re thrilled to extend our golf commitment to Australia.
“With robotic mowing taking off across Australian homes and commercial turf, bringing it to elite women’s golf as an Australian first feels like the perfect fit.”
And for Grace Kim, already a Husqvarna Brand Partner, it’s technology she knows well.
“I’m thrilled to continue working as a Brand Partner with Husqvarna and to see their robotic mowers supporting the Kooyonga greenkeeping team at the Australian Women’s Open.
“I’ve seen this technology in action over in Europe and here locally, and the results speak for themselves.”
