Al Houara Golf Club is preparing to take centre stage on the revitalised MENA Golf Tour calendar as the Moroccan venue readies itself to host two consecutive tournaments in the coming weeks.
The Tangier-based club will welcome the tour across late February and early March underlining its growing reputation as one of North Africa’s premier championship venues. The twin events form part of the 2026 MENA Golf Tour season which launched last November and spans 12 tournaments across the region.
The revitalised MENA Golf Tour launched its new season late last year marking a fresh chapter for the circuit following an exciting professional debut from a rising UAE golfer.

Championship Golf Returns to Tangier on MENA Golf Tour
Back-to-back MENA Golf Tour events confirmed in Morocco
Widely regarded as one of the most important professional development tours in the world the MENA Golf Tour has long been a pathway for elite talent. Former players include Ryder Cup winners Matt Fitzpatrick and Robert MacIntyre reinforcing the tour’s standing as a breeding ground for future stars.
Competition at Al Houara Golf Club will begin with the Al Houara Classic from February 26 to 28. That will be followed swiftly by the Hilton Classic from March 2 to 4 with players once again tackling the club’s championship layout.
Renowned championship design set to challenge the field
Designed by Graham Marsh in collaboration with Vijay Singh the course will provide a searching test across both 54-hole tournaments. Each event will offer a prize fund of $100,000 USD.
Ranked second in Morocco and fifth in Africa, Al Houara Golf Club has enjoyed a sharp rise in profile since the appointment of Troon International in 2024. The venue’s inclusion for two key dates on the tour schedule reflects the strong working relationship between the MENA Golf Tour and Troon the world’s largest golf and golf-hospitality management company.

Set between the Rif Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean the course winds through rolling sand dunes and pockets of lush vegetation offering dramatic views alongside a strategic challenge.
