LIV Golf Singapore 2026 Preview: Everything You Need to Know

LIV Golf returns to Sentosa for the 2026 Singapore event as Jon Rahm arrives in form, defending champion Joaquin Niemann seeks momentum and several contenders chase a breakthrough victory.

The LIV Golf League returns to Southeast Asia this week as the circuit continues with LIV Golf Singapore at Sentosa Golf Club. The tournament represents the second stop on the league’s regional swing and follows confirmation that LIV Golf Korea will remain on the schedule for the 2026 season.

Singapore has quickly become one of the most reliable and popular venues on the LIV calendar. The 2026 edition marks the fourth straight year the league has staged an event at the acclaimed Sentosa Golf Club. The Serapong Course will again host the competition, a demanding par-71 layout stretching to 7,406 yards that has produced memorable finishes in recent seasons.

Previous champions underline the quality of the event. Joaquin Niemann captured the title last year at 17-under-par during a remarkable 2025 campaign. Brooks Koepka triumphed in 2024 and Talor Gooch claimed the inaugural Singapore title in 2023. With its tropical setting and passionate galleries, the tournament has become one of LIV Golf’s signature stops.

Jon Rahm arrives in form ahead of the Singapore event

Fresh from victory in Hong Kong, Jon Rahm heads to Singapore as the form player in the field. The Spaniard ended a personal drought last week when he secured his first LIV tournament victory since the 2024 season.

Rahm has been a dominant force since joining the league in 2024, collecting back-to-back season-long individual championships. Yet tournament victories had proved elusive until his breakthrough in Hong Kong, where the former Masters champion admitted the win lifted a considerable burden.

His consistency remains remarkable. Rahm is once again the leading projected performer entering Singapore and has yet to finish outside the top 10 this season. With renewed confidence and a course that rewards powerful iron play, he will start the week as the player to beat.

Players to watch at LIV Golf Singapore 2026

David Puig searching for a breakthrough win

Spanish rising star David Puig continues to push toward a maiden LIV victory. His tie for eighth in Hong Kong provided a strong response after a disappointing week in Adelaide. Puig currently sits 11th in the league standings and showed his comfort at Sentosa last season when he finished fourth.

Singapore may offer the ideal stage for a breakthrough. The 24-year-old has repeatedly contended in LIV events and his aggressive style often suits courses where scoring opportunities appear late in rounds.

Lucas Herbert thriving amid Ripper GC’s strong start

Another player demonstrating exceptional consistency is Australian Lucas Herbert. Alongside Rahm he is one of only two players who have finished inside the top 10 at every event this season.

Herbert has been central to the success of Ripper GC across the past two seasons and the Australian team have started 2026 in dominant fashion with victories in the opening two tournaments of the year. While a LIV individual title has so far eluded him, the former International Series Japan champion has repeatedly been in contention and continues to knock on the door. Singapore could provide the moment where steady form finally converts into a trophy.

Team storylines heading into the Singapore tournament

In the team competition, all signs point toward a resurgence from 4Aces GC. The side led by Dustin Johnson recently celebrated its first team victory since the dominant 2023 season when the franchise established itself as LIV’s early dynasty.

Balanced lineup driving the 4Aces resurgence

A balanced lineup has been the foundation of their success. Belgian duo Thomas Detry and Thomas Pieters have both shown signs that individual wins may not be far away, while Anthony Kim has already returned to the winner’s circle.

Johnson’s results have been modest by his own high standards, yet even his lowest finish this year stands at a respectable T24. The 4Aces remain the only team to reach the podium in all three tournaments this season, a record that positions them as strong favourites to challenge again in Singapore.

In addition, one of the league’s most recognisable figures will again be absent this week. Phil Mickelson has missed the first three events of the 2026 season for personal reasons and is also expected to sit out the Singapore tournament. Reserve player Wade Ormsby will continue to substitute for the six-time major champion.

Defending champion storyline at LIV Golf Singapore 2026

One of the biggest talking points entering the week surrounds defending champion Niemann. The Torque GC captain delivered one of the most impressive seasons in LIV history in 2025, winning five tournaments including his Singapore triumph.

So far in 2026 the Chilean star has struggled to find the same rhythm. Niemann currently sits 27th in the individual standings and has yet to record a top-10 finish. Whether this is simply a slow start or a deeper issue remains unclear, but Singapore could represent the perfect opportunity for the defending champion to rediscover his form.

Tournament details and prize money

LIV Golf Singapore will be played from March 12–15, 2026 at Sentosa Golf Club’s Serapong Course. The tournament features the league’s standard 72-hole stroke play format with no cut.

A total purse of $20 million is available in the individual competition with $4 million awarded to the champion. The team event carries a $10 million prize fund with the winning quartet sharing a $3 million payout.

Reigning team champions are Fireballs GC led by Sergio Garcia, who secured the title here last year.

Broadcast coverage and start times

Play begins each day at approximately 9.15am local time in Singapore, which corresponds to early-morning viewing in the United Kingdom. Coverage will be broadcast on TNT Sports in the UK and Fox Sports in the United States, with live coverage starting 30 minutes before the opening tee times.

LIV Golf Singapore 2026 set for another dramatic week

With Rahm back in the winner’s circle, Ripper GC carrying early-season momentum and a confident 4Aces lineup gaining traction, LIV Golf Singapore promises another compelling chapter in the league’s growing Asian presence.

Against the dramatic coastal backdrop of Sentosa, the battle for both individual glory and team supremacy looks set to deliver another memorable week for the global tour.
