Pin Vision, the Italian-founded GPS app known for providing precise distances to the flag, has rolled out a new Pace of Play feature across its partner venues. The tool gives golfers live pace status during their round and gives club managers direct communication channels to keep play moving on busy days.
The feature is available inside the Pin Vision app at partner clubs and is aimed at reducing slow play. Golfers can view real-time pace updates, receive direct notifications from staff, contact the clubhouse or marshal instantly, and check live course-condition information during the round.

What clubs get
On the operator side, the feature provides oversight tools that help managers identify bottlenecks, message specific groups on the course, and maintain flow during peak periods and competitions. An integration with IOTee’s golf cart technology adds live cart locations within the app, giving staff a clearer picture of activity across the course at any moment.
Luigi Goria, co-founder and COO of Pin Vision, said: “Pace of play is one of the biggest challenges facing golf clubs today. With this new feature, we’re giving both golfers and managers the tools they need to keep the course moving smoothly. Our goal has always been to enhance the playing experience through accurate information and smart communication. By introducing real-time pace monitoring and direct messaging, we’re helping golfers spend more time playing and less time waiting.”
Early adopter feedback
Two partner clubs have commented publicly on the tool. John Summerville-Hendrie, general manager at Knole Park Golf Club, said: “Pin Vision has given us the ability to better monitor our pace of play and improve our on-course service to members and guests alike.”
Dragos Tataru, golf manager at Villa Carolina Golf & Resort, said: “As a manager, having instant communication with players on the course has made my job so much easier. It helps us react quickly to delays and keep the day running smoothly. I’d highly recommend it for any club looking to improve pace of play.”
Where the feature fits
The Pace of Play tool is the latest addition to Pin Vision’s wider product suite. Pin Vision already offers pin-position management for clubs, interactive course discovery with more than 16,500 clubs mapped across five countries, scorecard functions, notifications, and Apple Watch support. The company expanded into the UK and entered Portugal during 2025, and its dashboard allows staff to update pin positions, send unlimited messages, and share printed pin sheets for events.
The pace feature works only at partner clubs, a detail worth noting for golfers considering the app. Pin Vision says it expects the tool to become a central part of how venues manage tee sheets as adoption grows, as the company continues to position itself as a digital platform for golf operations, alongside its original distance-app function.
