The 51st Walker Cup will be shown live across the UK, Ireland and United States when Great Britain and Ireland face the USA at Lahinch on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September.
Tickets for both days have sold out, with 8,000 spectators expected at the Irish links each day. Television and streaming coverage will span all four sessions, beginning with Saturday morning’s foursomes.
UK and Ireland viewing options
Sky Sports will broadcast the Walker Cup live across its Golf and Mix channels, with coverage also available through its digital platforms. Viewers should check the latest Sky Sports listings for the channel allocation before each session.

- R&A TV will show every foursomes and singles match live on Saturday and Sunday.
- The R&A’s YouTube channel will carry both sessions on Sunday 6 September.
- BBC Two will show full-match highlights from 11.50pm BST on Sunday.

The match comprises four sessions, with foursomes played each morning and singles following in the afternoon. All times are British Summer Time.
- Saturday morning foursomes: 8.30am–1pm
- Saturday afternoon singles: 2pm–7pm
- Sunday morning foursomes: 8am–12.30pm
- Sunday afternoon singles: 1.30pm–7pm

How to watch in the United States
Golf Channel will show the Walker Cup live across both days, with coverage divided into morning and afternoon windows.
- Saturday: 3.30am–8am and 9am–2pm ET
- Sunday: 3am–7.30am and 8.30am–2pm ET
Streaming is also available through Golfchannel.com and the Golf Channel app. Golf Central will provide updates from Lahinch during the week.
Walker Cup format at Lahinch
The Walker Cup is a biennial match between ten-player amateur teams representing Great Britain and Ireland and the United States. In 2026, the contest features eight foursomes matches alongside 18 singles matches.
Saturday features four morning foursomes followed by eight singles. Four more foursomes open Sunday before all 20 players contest ten afternoon singles.
The USA leads the series 40-9-1 and has won the past five matches, including a 17-9 victory at Cypress Point in 2025. Great Britain and Ireland last won at Royal Lytham & St Annes in 2015.
The hosts are captained by Dean Robertson for a third time. Their team includes 2026 US Amateur winner Jack Whaley and Amateur champion Stuart Grehan, as detailed in our guide to the GB&I team.
