SEVE Collection has launched The Heart of SEVE, the first of three planned Shield Collection releases for the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor.
The design places Seve Ballesteros’s silhouette discreetly behind the official Ryder Cup emblem. On the clothing, it sits close to the wearer’s heart. The motif is planned for polos and mid-layers, with headwear also part of the Ryder Cup range.
SEVE Collection said the idea came from the tribute to Ballesteros worn inside Europe’s team garments at the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black. “The hidden icon behind the Ryder Cup emblem is a small detail, but it carries the whole idea of the collection,” said Sebastian Billing, the brand’s CMO.
Ballesteros’s Ryder Cup Record
Ballesteros played in eight Ryder Cups after the European team expanded beyond Great Britain and Ireland in 1979. His partnership with José María Olazábal became one of the competition’s most celebrated pairings.
He helped Europe end a 28-year wait for victory at The Belfry in 1985. Two years later, Europe won on American soil for the first time at Muirfield Village. Ballesteros captained the team to victory at Valderrama in 1997, the first Ryder Cup staged in continental Europe.
“To see the SEVE icon placed behind the Ryder Cup emblem is very special for our family and the Foundation. It is understated, but the meaning is clear,” said his son Javier Ballesteros, president of the Seve Ballesteros Foundation.

Shield Collection Availability
SEVE Collection, an official licensee of the 2027 Ryder Cup, is selling the first release through its online store, with early access for existing customers. A limited selection will also be available through retail stockists. Two further Shield Collection releases are planned before the Ryder Cup.
The Ryder Cup range follows the brand’s light-blue polo release, which marked 50 years since Ballesteros’s first European Tour victory at the 1976 Dutch Open. Adare Manor will host the Ryder Cup from 13–19 September 2027, bringing the event back to Ireland for the first time since 2006. The edition marks 100 years since the first match.
