Location
Southerndown Golf Club is located 1 mile from the mouth of the river Ogmore, 3 miles south west of Bridgend, nr Ogmore Castle ruins.
At the village of Ewenny (1/2 mile) turn right and follow the
Ogmore river valley for 2 miles to the ruins of Ogmore castle.
The road to Southerndown golf club is a left turning immediately past the Pelican Inn.
Southerndown is the nearest championship links-style course to the Ryder Cup 2010 venue at Celtic Manor – less than an hour’s drive away.
Course Designer
The original course architects: Willie Fernie, Herbert Fowler, Willie Park, Harry Colt and Donald Steel
