Shane Lowry birdied his final hole to sign for a flawless 65 and reach 17-under in the BMW PGA Championship, moving ahead of clubhouse leader Jon Rahm. He then had to wait for Rory McIlroy to finish and won when McIlroy’s eagle putt failed to drop.

Lowry remained bogey-free all week to win his second Rolex Series title.

McIlroy (67) and Rahm (62) finished second at 16-under followed by Talor Gooch in solo fourth place at 15-under.
Patrick Reed carded a 63 to finish tied for fifth at 14-under alongside Søren Kjeldsen (70), Viktor Hovland (70) and Thomas Detry (69).
