The 2019 season could hardly have got off to a better start for Callaway after Xander Schauffele – using the Epic Flash Sub Zero Driver and Apex Pro 19 irons - produced a tournament winning display at the PGA Tour's Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii.

The new products being released include Woods, Irons, Hybrids, Wedges and Golf Balls. Here we take a look at them in more detail.

Epic Flash & Epic Flash Sub Zero Drivers

Callaway's new line-up for 2019

The Epic Flash drivers feature Callaway's ground breaking Flash Face Technology, whereby the inside of the titanium face features dozens of ripples flowing from heel to toe. The result – Callaway say - is noticeable gains in distance and longer drives when you make a solid contact.

Flash Face Technology is truly ground breaking because it's the first time AI (Artificial Intelligence) has been used in golf club development.

The Epic Flash drivers also feature Callaway's Jailbreak Technology – two internal bars behind the clubface that stiffen and stabilise the crown and sole on impact that result in faster ball speed and more distance.

Another feature of the Epic Flash range is the sliding adjustable weight for draw, fade or normal bias. The Epic Flash has a 16-gram adjustable weight and the Epic Flash Sub Zero has a 12-gram adjustable weight.

The Epic Flash Sub Zero model features all of the same technologies as the Epic Flash but in a more solid, compact and low-spin head design.

Epic Flash & Epic Flash Sub Zero Fairway Woods

Like the Epic Flash driver range, Callaway's Epic Flash fairway woods feature the new Flash Face Technology - to help golfers of every level get more ball speed and distance.

While the Epic Flash Drivers have a titanium face, these fairway woods have an ultra-thin, forged Carpenter 455 steel clubface that incorporates Callaway's renowned Face Cup Technology and the new Flash Face Technology.

Epic Flash fairway woods also feature Callaway's Jailbreak Technology to promote ball speed and distance.

The Epic Flash Sub Zero fairway wood features two adjustable sole weights (2 grams & 16 grams) that enable changeable ball spin and trajectory. The 16 gram weight in the forward position is the lowest spin setting. While the 16 gram weight in the rear setting creates higher ball flight and allows forgiveness.

Apex 19 Irons & Apex Pro 19 Irons

Callaway's new Apex 19 and Apex Pro 19 irons are a range of premium forged irons that are precision engineered with the latest technology.

Callaway's new line-up for 2019

These stylish looking irons have a platinum chrome finish and feature a forged 1025 carbon steel body. Callaway have created a new standard for ‘incredibly soft feel' by injecting Urethane Microspheres into the clubface – over one million tiny air pockets that are designed to dampen any unwanted vibrations without affecting the ball speed.

In the creation of the Apex Pro 19 irons, Callaway believe that they have created a new category in golf club design, their first ever Tour performance iron - an iron for better players who want all the benefits of a Tour level design. A thin top line, straighter leading edge, higher toe and smooth hosel transition for a Tour performance shape.

Another significant feature is the positioning of a tungsten weight inside each clubface at the optimum point for off centre hits that helps to retain ball speed and increase forgiveness.

Both sets of irons feature Callaway's 360 Face Cup technology – a shallow flexible rim around the perimeter of the face – that flexes and releases at impact to provide faster ball speed and consistent distance for centre and off-centre hits.

RRP: £1,299 in steel shafts. £1,399 in graphite shafts

Apex 19 Hybrid

This latest hybrid provides the benefits of a hybrid while maintaining the spin characteristics and controlled ball flight of a long iron for better players and Tour Pros.

Callaway PM Grind 2019 Wedge

Callaway's new PM Grind 2019 wedges have been co-designed my Phil Mickelson, arguably the greatest wedge player in history, and Roger Cleveland, arguably the greatest wedge designer in history.

Callaway's new line-up for 2019

Improvements have been made on the previous Callaway PM wedge, making it easier to hit what Phil believes to be the three essential shots in wedge play:

• The Knockdown – a low flying, high spinning shot ideal for attacking the pin

• The Hit & Check – a short pitch that bounces twice and stops

• The Flop – the high flying, steep landing, fast stopping greenside shot made famous by Phil

This new wedge from Callaway features their new Groove-in-Groove technology where micro-grooves have been machined into the face at a 20 degree angle, making them perpendicular to the target when you open the face, which promotes more spin than ever before.

The new PM Grind is also now more offset than before. This allows the ball to be played further back in the stance and makes it easier to position the hands ahead of the ball. The face also features a higher toe which promotes a lower trajectory and provides more space high on the face for flop shots from tall grass.

Callaway's new line-up for 2019

In creating this new wedge with Phil Mickelson, Roger Cleveland stated … “This wedge is going to help a lot of players hit shots they couldn't hit before.”

The PM Grind 2019 comes in a choice of Platinum Chrome and Tour Grey.

Available Lofts 54/14, 56/14, 58/12, 60/12, 64/10

The new Supersoft combines Callaway's lowest compression golf ball with a new softer cover and HEX Aerodynamics.
