Jesper Svensson signed for a bogey-free 68 to take a one-shot lead at 16-under at the D+D REAL Czech Masters where storms caused a three-hour delay during the afternoon.
“It’s just great to be in a good position for tomorrow,” said the Swede.
“I didn’t really think about it but managed to stay away from bogeys today, again struck the ball nicely but hopefully the putter’s a bit hotter tomorrow.”
A win on Sunday would be Svensson’s second DP World Tour title this year following his Porsche Singapore Classic win in March.
“It would be something else. There is still a lot of golf to be played but yeah, that would be nice.”
Overnight leader David Ravetto carded a 70 and slipped down into solo second place at 15-under. Ravetto has one title to his name this year, the Dimension Data Pro-Am on the Challenge Tour, but has yet to win on the DP World Tour.
“I’m pretty happy, pretty excited,” said the Frenchman. “It was a solid day, I didn’t have my best golf but I managed to shoot two under so I’m pretty happy.”
England’s Andrew Johnston (70), Brandon Robinson Thompson (69) and Ross Fisher (68) are tied in third place at 14-under alongside France’s Adrien Sadier (67).
