The 2025 LIV Golf League may have only wrapped up last week, but new events are already being added to the 2026 schedule.
Indeed, LIV Golf New Orleans is the newest stop to be added to the calendar. The event will take place in the summer of 2026, but official dates are unknown.
Bayou Oaks in City Park will play host and Louisiana is fronting at least $7.2m to bring LIV Golf to the state.

$5m of this will go straight to LIV as the fee for hosting the tournament in the Pelican State. A further $2.2m will go towards freshening up the golf course.
This was, rather poignantly, announced on the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina by Governor Jeff Landry.
The event will see around $40m injected into the state when LIV Golf descends on New Orleans. Thus ensuring a solid return on the initial $7.2m investment.
LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil is certainly aiming to enhance the global appeal of the breakaway league. New Orleans is another step towards achieving this goal.
Just where else will host events in 2026?
2026 LIV Golf season is shaping up well
New Orleans joins Chicago, Indianapolis and Michigan as confirmed stops in the USA. Virginia will also be hosting an event prior to the PGA Championship.
Elsewhere, Andalucia, Mexico City, the UK and Singapore have also been confirmed. The season will begin in Saudi Arabia once again, followed by a trip down under to Australia a week later.
Another new country to add their name to the list is South Africa. This news was announced back in July, with LIV Golf committing to a multi-year to host an event at Steyn City in Johannesburg.

As such, it marks a first tournament on African soil for the Saudi-backed league and one that could be a major success.
There are still five months to go until the start of the 2026 season. With ten events already schedule, there is plenty of scope for more new locations to be added.
