Mizuno unveils revolutionary JPX925 Hot Metal Iron family

Mizuno has launched its latest addition to the JPX line with the highly anticipated JPX925 Hot Metal Family.

Mizuno Golf proudly announces the release of its highly anticipated JPX925 Hot Metal Iron family, an extraordinary advancement in golf club engineering. This new lineup, built on the successful foundation of its predecessors, promises exceptional distance, unmatched feel, and unrivalled fitting options.

JPX represents the restless, pioneering spirit that flows through every product Mizuno creates. It provides a platform to innovate, challenge convention, and question what has come before — ensuring each JPX Series advances the modern golfer in every facet of play.

“Our team thrives on the JPX philosophy of innovation,” said Chris Voshall, Product Director.

“The JPX line allows us to approach design in a whole new way, thinking about the future and experimenting with advanced technologies and materials.

This forward-thinking mindset enables us to challenge conventions in every category of clubs—irons, drivers, and more. And even with this innovative approach, we continue to deliver the exceptional look and feel that makes Mizuno golf clubs so special.”

The JPX925 Hot Metal family includes three exciting models, each tailored to meet the unique needs of different golfers: Hot Metal, Hot Metal Pro and Hot Metal High Launch.

Mizuno JPX925 Hot Metal
JPX925 Hot Metal: Maximum speed and consistency with the innovative CORTECH Design and Contour Ellipse face for unparalleled distance control.

The range introduces a new colour coding system on the back of each clubhead, simplifying the differentiation of models during fittings and on the shop floor.

This system features a white marker for the Hot Metal, black for the Hot Metal Pro, and blue for the Hot Metal High Launch, allowing for quick and easy identification.

And, for the first time, the JPX Hot Metal family includes multi-material construction, enhancing the performance of Nickel Chromoly with strategically placed tungsten to deliver a higher launch and steeper landing angles for pinpoint iron precision rarely found in distance-oriented designs.

“Having multiple fitting options is invaluable because every golfer is unique,” said Bill Price, Director of Custom Fitting.

“By offering a variety of models and configurations, like those in the JPX925 Hot Metal iron family, we can tailor the clubs to match each golfer’s unique Swing DNA as measured by our Shaft Optimiser.

Whether a golfer needs added height, a slimmer profile, more spin, adjustments to length and lie angle, or any of our 50 unique no-upcharge shaft options, our new JPX range and enhanced Performance Fitting System and Software ensure they receive the optimal fit for their game.”

The irons feature a CORTECH design with a Contour Ellipse Face, marking a significant leap forward with a multi-thickness face profile that is 30% thinner than its predecessor. This innovation enhances centre ball speed and ensures maximum speed retention throughout the impact zone.

In addition, the multi-material construction, incorporating tungsten weighting in the 4-7 irons, positions the weight low to facilitate a higher launch and lower sweet spot. This design produces a steeper landing angle, optimising playability and control.

Mizuno JPX925 Hot Metal Pro
JPX925 Hot Metal Pro: Combines the same advanced technology with a slimmer, more refined profile for golfers seeking a compact design.

The JPX925 Hot Metal Irons also benefit from the inclusion of Chromoly 4140M, a high-strength material known for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and malleability. This allows for a high-strength face with a pliable hosel for precise fitting.

The seamless one-piece cup face geometry, with thinned areas around the perimeter, helps to maximise the rebound area for unparalleled ball speed across the entire face.

Additionally, a variable sole thickness enhances the overall face flex area, contributing to increased CORAREA (Coefficient of Restitution).

This, combined with a balanced stability frame, improves control while maintaining forgiveness, producing a tour-preferred vibration and sound.

Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology, featuring meticulously fine-tuned head geometry, delivers an ideal feel and feedback at impact. Meanwhile, Acoustic Sound Ribs ensure precisely calibrated vibration patterns for a solid, explosive impact sound.

Rounding out the exceptional design of the JPX925 Hot Metal Irons is the White Satin Brush Finish. This modern, elegant finish is both durable and non-glare, ensuring that the irons not only perform brilliantly but also look the part.

JPX925 Hot Metal High Launch
JPX925 Hot Metal High Launch: Offers maximum launch and spin, featuring the same cutting-edge technology in a wider, easier-to-elevate package.

“With the JPX line, we are pushing the boundaries of golf club engineering,” said David Llewellyn, Director of R&D.

“The new Hot Metal Iron family introduces a multi-material design, strategically incorporating tungsten into our Nickel Chromoly designs, enhancing the renowned Hot Metal distance with impressive height and spin.

With three distinct models to choose from, each offering extensive custom fitting options, we uphold the quality and craftsmanship Mizuno is renowned for. We are dedicated to continually setting new standards of performance in the industry.”
