New HONMA TR20 range engineered for speed

HONMA has introduced a brand new range of clubs under its premium performance T//World category called TR20 (Tour Release 20) featuring two drivers and three sets of irons, with matching fairway woods and hybrids to follow later this year.

The beautifully crafted metal woods and irons feature a revolutionary speed design developed to meet the needs of Tour players and competitive amateurs (0-5 handicap). They are the result of the first product collaboration between Master craftsmen in Japan and club designers in the U.S. with extensive PGA Tour experience. In recent play tests, these high-quality clubs have delivered impressive results in terms of their ball speed credentials and outstanding looks behind the ball.

Engineered to deliver exceptional ball speed, the drivers come in two beautifully shaped profiles โ€“ TR20 460 & TR20 440cc โ€“ in a near-total carbon body and lightweight titanium frame for explosive distance and accuracy. Designed with a flat crown and semi-shallow back, the graphite sole features three strategically positioned weights (3,6,9,12,15g) to ensure that ball speed, launch, spin and swing weight can be optimised in the fitting process. The internal groove and variable thickness face help to boost ball speed.

Crafted for better golfers seeking a preferred blade length, the new TR20 V iron is forged in one piece from the finest S20C carbon steel and incorporates a modern cavity back design. The low centre of gravity leads to a high launch angle.

The TR20 P is a true playerโ€™s distance iron with exceptional playability. It features a forged S35C steel body with a thin L-cup face for increased ball speeds and a deep tungsten- weighted pocket cavity to deliver speed enhancing forgiveness on off-centre strikes.

A modern version of the classic forged muscle back is the Tour-inspired TR20 B iron, designed to give competitive golfers greater shot and trajectory control. A playerโ€™s blade with exceptional feel, the hand-shaped iron features a unique pyramid back design.

The new TR20 clubs, incorporating the brandโ€™s exclusive Vizard TR20-50 wood and TR-65 iron shafts, are available in 460 & 440 drivers (9.5 & 10.5 loft) from ยฃ599 (โ‚ฌ699) RRP and TR20 V, P & B irons (4-10) from ยฃ1,225 (โ‚ฌ1,680) RRP. Fairway woods and hybrids will be available in October.
