David Micheluzzi closed with back-to-back birdies for a 66 and takes a one-shot lead at 13-under into the final day at the Porsche Singapore Classic.
Micheluzzi has won four times on the PGA Tour of Australasia in the last 17 months and won the Order of Merit in 2023 which earned him his place on the DP World Tour where he has recorded two top-10s in twenty starts.
“Today was very hot, you could see me with the towel over the head basically the whole day,” said the Australian. “I just try not to get angry because that would make it worse, just be as patient as possible, take as much time as I need and keep a wet towel on me.
“The first eight holes I didn’t play so great and then the last ten I really got dialled in and holed some putts which was nice.
Andy Sullivan who held a share of the overnight lead after a course-record 63 on Friday made two double bogeys at the par-4s 9th and 10th and closed with a 69 for a share of second place at 12-under alongside fellow Englishman Sam Bairstow who shot a 68 featuring four consecutive birdies from the 3rd hole.”
India’s Shubhankar Sharma carded a 68 for the solo fourth place at 11-under.
