December 03-06
Old American Golf Club, The Colony, Texas
$1,750,000
Round 1, Round 3, Round 4

After a markedly cold opening round, the temperature never rose above the 40s, Jessica Korda prepared for another but temperatures reached the high 50s on Friday.

โ€œMy immediate regret when I was on the front nine my kneecaps started to sweat and I didn't have pants I could take off. What a beautiful day today was. I know it was really cold this morning, but way less wind than we could have imagined having, so spectacular day.โ€

Korda shot her second 2-under 69 playing the first twelve holes in 4-under before dropping a stroke on the 13th and parring the last five holes to tie for the lead at 4-under alongside Anna Nordqvist and Yealimi Noh.

โ€œIt was tough,โ€ said Korda. โ€œFront-nine pins, they were pretty gettable. Back-nine pins, it was just defense all day. It didn't matter where I put myself. Honestly, I was trying to attack it at different angles. I'm happy with my ball-striking. Honestly, I don't know what else I could have done.โ€

Nordqvist made four birdies and a single bogey on the final hole for a 68.

โ€œI'm excited that I played really solid today and that it was a little bit warmer today than yesterday. But overall I felt like I played really solid. There were a lot of tough pin placements out there.โ€

Noh closed with a 66, the best round of the week making four consecutive birdies from the 17th to the second hole and a single bogey at the 11th.

โ€œI feel really good about how I'm hitting it. Just hit a lot of greens today and made a couple up-and-downs.โ€

Lindsey Weaver, who recently moved to the area after visiting last year and falling in love with the Dallas community, shot a 68 and lies in second place.

โ€œI've just been hitting the ball pretty well, just kind of trying to hang in there and attack when you can and kind of just play safe when you can't really attack the pins because I mean this course is obviously playing very difficult,โ€ said Weaver. โ€œThere's so many runoffs and the greens are really quick and very grainy so they can be difficult to read. So it's just about staying patient really.โ€

World number 1 Jin Young Ko is tied in fifth place at 2-under alongside Inbee Park, Madelene Sagstrom, Angela Stanford and Pornanong Phatlum.

Ko made five birdies and three bogeys for a 69.

โ€œYesterday was chilly and then a lot of wind, but today was just calm and sunny, so big difference,โ€ Ko said. โ€œI got maybe hybrid some holes, but today 8- or 7-irons, so it was easier."

Sagstrom closed with a 69 after finishing her round with an eagle holing out from 70 yards.

โ€œI got a really good number on 18, and I was like, OK, I can be aggressive here,โ€ said Sagstrom. โ€œI hit a little bit past it and I was like, OK, spin back.โ€ฒ And it started spinning back and my caddie, Jack, he was like, `Go in! Go in!. And it just disappeared.โ€

Overnight leader Charley Hull dropped into a tie for 14th after firing a 74 in a round that included three bogeys and a double bogey.
