Wilson Golf has expanded its Staff Model range by launching a new Utility iron to help players fill the gap between their shortest fairway wood and longest iron.

Providing ultimate versatility around the golf course, the new Staff Model RB Utility iron is a perfect solution for teeing off on long par threes, reachable-in-two par fives and even fairway-finding stingers.

Featuring tour-design specifications with input from Wilson Advisory Staff members like three-time Major champion Padraig Harrington - who captured his seventh PGA TOUR Champions victory at the recent Hoag Classic with the 24° loft in his bag - and four-time PGA Tour winner Kevin Kisner, the RB Utility iron has a sleek, thinner topline to appeal to the better player.

By strategically redistributing weight toward both the toe and sole, Wilson engineers achieved an optimized mid-to-low centre of gravity that enhances forgiveness, playability and effortless power.

Further contributing to optimised weight distribution is the club’s hollow body construction, which directly leads to enhanced ball speeds, shot shaping and aerodynamic efficiency. Strategically placed rib (RB) structures reside within the interior of the head to yield higher stability on mishits while simultaneously providing an optimized sound.

In creating the clubface, the Wilson design team utilised a high strength C300 steel, a cutting-edge material combining exceptional strength with remarkable flexibility. This premium clubface achieves explosive ball speeds with a softer feel.

“The tour professionals and elite amateur players who tested the iron all commented on its amazing soft feel at impact and optimized ball flight,” said Bob Thurman, Global General Manager of Golf and Vice President of Research & Development at Wilson. “We feel we have created something special for golfers in search of that easy-to-hit distance club in the Staff Model franchise that has been so well received by golfers worldwide,” he added.

The new Staff Model RB Utility is available next month in right-handed 18°, 21° and 24° loft options and comes complete with a stock True Temper HZRDUS GEN 4 Black shaft and Golf Pride Z Grip.
