Defending champion Ryan Fox will also be joining the field, alongside European Ryder Cup members Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Matt Fitzpatrick, Shane Lowry, Robert MacIntyre, Nicolai Højgaard, Justin Rose, Sepp Straka and Captain Luke Donald.

Adam Scott will make a return to Wentworth for the fourth consecutive year, with the 11-time DP World Tour winner and 2013 Masters champion excited for the challenge.

“Wentworth is always a great stop on the calendar, and returning for the BMW PGA Championship is something I really look forward to,” said the Australian.

“The energy from the passionate English fans and the atmosphere combined with a world-class field, makes this Rolex Series event truly stand out.”

Molinari, the 2018 BMW PGA Champion and 2018 Open Championship winner is another who’s keen to revisit a tournament where he has consistently performed well.

“It’s always one of the top events on the calendar, with such a strong field and incredible support from the fans at Wentworth,” Molinari remarked. “I have great memories here, and I’m looking forward to another great week.”

American Will Zalatoris will make his BMW PGA Championship debut, expressing his anticipation to play in England.

“Competing at Wentworth has always been on my list. I’ve seen the event on TV and spoken to a lot of the guys about it, so I’m looking forward to experiencing the course and the atmosphere around London.”

Englishman Aaron Rai, fresh from his first PGA TOUR win at the Wyndham Championship, is eager to perform on home soil.

“Playing in front of your home fans is always special, and I’m excited to get back to the BMW PGA Championship this summer,” said Rai, who finished tied second behind Ryan Fox at Wentworth last year.

“My game is in a good place just now, and I would love to have a great week at Wentworth.”

Frenchman Matthieu Pavon, who has had an impressive year so far with a maiden PGA TOUR victory, top-five finish at the US Open and an Olympic Games appearance, is also looking forward to the tournament.

“The BMW PGA Championship is a massive event – everything around it from the field to the fans and the history of the venue makes it a week I always look forward to.”

The BMW PGA Championship is expected to attract over 100,000 spectators through the gates, with this year’s event featuring live entertainment from Groove Armada and Sigala, as well as the G4D TOUR @ BMW PGA Championship for golfers with disabilities.
