Scottie Scheffler leading in the Bahamas

Hero World Challenge R3

Scottie Scheffler made two eagles at the par-5s 3rd and 15th as well as four birdies and a single bogey for a 65 to reach 16-under. He takes a three-shot lead into the final day of the Hero World Challenge.

“I feel as if I’m much more clear in what I need to be working on and a lot of that has to do with how I’m set up over the ball,” said Scheffler. “When I’m set up in the right position, then I feel like my mechanics are really good. That’s what I’m focused on.”

England’s Matt Fitzpatrick lies in second place at 13-under after also closing with a 65 featuring an eagle at the par-5 15th, eight birdies, a bogey and a double bogey at the par-5 11th.

American Justin Thomas lies in third place two shots further back after signing for a 68.

Americans Tony Finau (68), Collin Morikawa (68) and Jordan Spieth (71) are tied in fourth place at 10-under alongside Australia’s Jason Day (66).
