Jacques Kruyswijk started the day seven shots off the lead and signed for a 7-under, bogey-free 64 at Muthaiga Golf Club on Saturday to reach 14-under and take a one-shot lead into the final day at the Magical Kenya Open presented by absa.
“It was super breezy out there today but I played a really good game plan around this golf course, I wasn’t over-aggressive – as you could see on the last couple,” said the South African.
“I rolled a couple in, which is great, it’s always nice, but I just played super consistent and my mindset’s been really good all week.
“So whatever happens tomorrow is going to happen but I’m ready.”
Overnight leader John Parry of England made three bogeys and two birdies to close with a 72 and move down into second place at 13-under.
South African Deon Germishuys made a single bogey and carded a 67 to move into third place at 10-under followed in fourth at 9-under by France’s Benjamin Hébert who made two birdies, three bogeys and a triple bogey at the par-5 5th hole.
