The Murphy Journey

My family has always been deeply involved in sports — I played rugby into my 40s, my wife plays netball, and our daughter is a very active and accomplished athlete. Golf came into my life later than most, when our son was five.

One day, he came home from school and said he wanted to learn to play, so, of course, I started playing with him. It quickly became a fantastic way for us to spend time together, and I discovered that I genuinely loved the game. I took lessons, played regularly, and started to understand the mechanics and strategy behind it — while also trying to make sure my son didn’t surpass me too quickly, which is inevitable.

During the interview process for my role at Uneekor, I spent time with the team in their Irvine, California office, in what they call the “Green Room,” a first-class simulator setup. Experiencing the technology firsthand was eye-opening. I could see data on my swing, impact, spin, and ball flight in ways I hadn’t been able to before. The numbers and context made the game more tangible and showed me the full potential of Uneekor’s technology. I realized this was the future of golf.

My son is now 10, and his curiosity about golf helped shape not only my career path but also the way my family connects around sport. Joining Uneekor gave me the opportunity to help golfers of all levels practice smarter, improve confidently, and enjoy the game.

At Uneekor, we’re turning innovation into reality with products like AIMY, our conversational, voice-activated assistant within AI Trainer, and GAME DAY Global Online Tournaments, which let golfers compete in real time from anywhere. These tools point to where we’re headed: making golf more engaging, measurable, and connected for players, coaches, and facilities around the world.

What was the genesis for Uneekor?

Uneekor was founded in South Korea by an engineering team focused on pushing the limits of golf simulation technology, particularly around accuracy and data capture.

From the beginning, the goal was to build something that could deliver highly precise insights into the golf swing.

When we expanded into the US market, that vision evolved into making that level of technology more accessible and usable for a broader audience, not just elite players or tour-level environments.

How does Uneekor differentiate itself from others in the category?

What sets Uneekor apart is our focus on accuracy and trust in every detail. With our patented Dimple Optix™ technology, high-speed cameras capture the golf ball directly at impact by tracking the dimples as it leaves the clubface. That means key data like spin, launch angle, and ball speed are measured directly with high-speed cameras at impact, not estimated, giving golfers reliable, consistent data they can trust on every swing.

We’ve built a connected ecosystem where our hardware and software all work together. Our goal is to help golfers of all levels understand their game more clearly and improve with confidence.

Lesson

Who is your customer?

Our customer base is intentionally broad. It ranges from home users just getting into simulation to serious golfers focused on improvement, along with coaches, fitters, and commercial facilities.

What connects them is a shared need to better understand their game and have tools they can rely on to improve. We’ve focused on building a flexible product lineup that helps golfers grow with us over time.

Uneekor has a connected ecosystem so users have a consistent experience across hardware and software that makes it easier to learn, track progress, and stay engaged.

What specific marketing plans are you implementing in widening your overall visibility and client development?

We’re focused on getting the product in front of people in real-world settings, from events like the PGA Show to partnerships with facilities and instructors, along with content that shows how golfers are actually using our technology.

This year, there’s a strong emphasis on hands-on experiences, because once someone interacts with the system, it clicks.

Features like Club Optix™ Impact Replay help bring that to life. When golfers can see the moment of impact, not just the numbers, it makes improvement feel immediate and easy to understand.

Lesson

Simulators started with a hefty cost. How do you see Uneekor handling this specific issue and what short term gains are possible in this area for 2026?

Cost has historically been a barrier, and we’ve made it a priority to provide more accessible entry points without sacrificing accuracy or quality.

Newer products like the EYE MINI CORE allow golfers to experience pro-level technology at a more approachable price. We also launched the Uneekor Junior Academy to help young golfers who wouldn’t otherwise have access to this technology.

What advancements on the technology side are likely to occur and how is Uneekor involved in such areas?

We’re seeing a shift toward more intelligent, interactive training experiences, where data actively guides the golfer. We’re investing in AI through innovations like AIMY and continued enhancements to GAME DAY, bringing together training, feedback, and competition in a more engaging, connected way.

Accuracy remains at the core of everything we do. We use photometric, camera-based technology to capture the ball and club at impact, so key data like spin and launch are measured directly.

That gives golfers more precise and consistent feedback, especially in indoor environments where many are practicing today.

Uneekor

Companies routinely talk about the importance of customer service. Define the term and the approach Uneekor follow.

For us, customer service is about long-term support and trust, not just solving a problem in the moment.

That means being responsive, providing clear guidance, and continually improving the experience through updates and communication.

We see it as an extension of the product itself; how someone is supported after purchase is just as important as the technology they’re using.

How does Uneekor secure customer feedback and can you outline one such instance that played a pivotal role in how the company learned from such a comment.

We gather feedback directly through our software, our user community, and coaches and facilities.

That input has been critical in shaping our products. AIMY is in development based on feedback that not everyone learns the same way or has access to a personal coach.

Some golfers learn best through conversational guidance, while others prefer programs they can follow at their own pace. AIMY is designed to meet those diverse learning styles, providing flexible, interactive coaching that complements traditional instruction.

The biggest challenges short- and long-term challenges are what?

In the short term, golf simulation is still relatively new, so one of the biggest challenges is helping people understand the technology and how it benefits them.

Making the experience intuitive is key, and features like Club Optix™ Impact Replay and swing replays help bring that to life by allowing golfers to see their swing in real time and connect the data to what they feel.

Long-term, the challenge is continuing to innovate while keeping the technology accessible and relevant to a wide range of golfers. That’s something we’re very focused on at Uneekor, building products that scale with the user and creating experiences that make it easier for golfers of all levels to engage with the game and improve over time.

What strategic steps are being implemented by Uneekor to deal with each?

We’re addressing those challenges by investing in education, product development, and ecosystem growth.

That means continuing to simplify the user experience, expanding our product lineup to meet different needs, and building more connected features that keep golfers engaged over time.

Ultimately, we’re making the technology easier to adopt while simultaneously pushing the category forward.
