Solheim Cup Captain Anna Nordqvist Joins Your Golf Travel as Global Brand Ambassador

Three-time Major champion signs multi-year deal with the world’s largest golf travel company, with a focus on inspiring more women to travel for golf and building momentum ahead of the 2026 Solheim Cup at Bernardus.

Anna Nordqvist

Your Golf Travel (YGT) has named three-time Major champion and 2026 European Solheim Cup captain Anna Nordqvist as a Global Brand Ambassador in a multi-year partnership. The Swedish star will share destination recommendations and help build excitement among YGT customers ahead of the Solheim Cup at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands this September.

The deal, announced on 9 June 2026, gives YGT a high-profile link to women’s golf and European team competition as Solheim Cup preparations ramp up. Nordqvist’s remit includes sharing tips on her favourite courses worldwide, with a stated goal of inspiring more golfers, especially women, to book golf trips through YGT.

Nordqvist’s credentials

Nordqvist’s playing record gives the partnership sporting weight. She has 13 professional wins, including Major titles at the 2009 LPGA Championship, the 2017 Evian Championship and the 2021 Women’s British Open. A veteran of nine Solheim Cups as a player, she was appointed European captain for the 2026 edition.

“Golf has taken me to some incredible places and introduced me to some amazing people along the way,” Nordqvist said. “Of course, I always play to win, but some of my best memories, whether on Tour or as part of the Solheim Cup, come from the people I’ve shared it with. That’s why partnering with Your Golf Travel feels so natural. They make it easy to discover incredible courses and create memories that go far beyond the scorecard.”

Solheim Cup timing

The announcement lands with the 2026 Solheim Cup now fewer than 100 days away. The biennial transatlantic team match-play competition is scheduled for 11–13 September at Bernardus Golf in Cromvoirt, a Kyle Phillips-designed heathland course. Nordqvist will captain 12 European players against a U.S. team led by Angela Stanford.

In a recent Sky Sports captain’s column, Nordqvist said she and vice-captain Anne van Dam plan to take around 12 players for a team practice session at Bernardus in mid-July, with team selection roughly two months away. Those preparations give the YGT partnership an immediate context: the company said Nordqvist will help create Solheim Cup build-up content for its customers.

YGT’s ambassador roster

Nordqvist joins a YGT ambassador lineup that already includes Ryder Cup-winning captain Darren Clarke and former European Solheim Cup captain Suzann Pettersen, according to the company’s website. Adding Nordqvist deepens the company’s connection to women’s golf and event-driven travel.

Ross Marshall, Executive Chairman and Founder of Your Golf Travel, said: “As one of Europe’s most decorated players and having travelled to some of the best courses all over the world, Anna is the perfect ambassador to showcase the possibilities of golf travel. We look forward to working together to bring more fans to the Netherlands to support Team Europe in 2026 and to inspire your next golf trip from our huge range of destinations, made easy by our golf specialist agents.”
