The R&A confirmed on 24 June that the Final Qualifying draws for The 154th Open are now available on TheOpen.com. A total of 288 golfers will compete on Tuesday 30 June for 20 places in the Championship at Royal Birkdale, which runs from 12–19 July.

Five qualifying spots are available at each of the four venues: Burnham & Berrow, Dundonald Links, Royal Cinque Ports and West Lancashire. The sites span England and Scotland and carry long histories of hosting Open qualifying, with Royal Cinque Ports having staged The Open itself in 1909 and 1920.

Live Coverage on YouTube for the First Time

For the first time, the latter stages of Final Qualifying will be shown live on The R&A’s YouTube channel. Fans can also keep track of all four venues on The Open website, where FQ Radio, a live blog and live scoring will be available.

Where Final Qualifying Sits in the Pathway

Final Qualifying is the last main summer route into the Championship field. Regional Qualifying took place across 16 venues on 22 June, with successful players progressing to the 30 June stage. After Final Qualifying, one further route remains: a Last-Chance Qualifier at Royal Birkdale on Monday 13 July, during championship week, offering a single place through 18 holes of stroke play.

The Open Qualifying Series also continues this week, with the DS Automobiles 83° Open d’Italia at Circolo Golf Torino (25–28 June) offering one spot to the highest finisher not already exempt. The Genesis Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club from 9–12 July is the final Open Qualifying Series event, with three places available.

The full draws, including tee times and player groupings, can be viewed at TheOpen.com.
