Adidas has launched CODECHAOS 27, the newest version of its spikeless performance golf shoe franchise, with a global rollout on July 1, 2026. The line is available in laced and BOA® models for men, women and juniors through their WEBSITE, the adidas app and select retailers.
The headline changes centre on two areas golfers will notice underfoot: a new midsole stability system called AXISLOCK, and a redesigned TWISTGRIP spikeless outsole that adidas says delivers more traction than its predecessor.
AXISLOCK
New to the CODECHAOS franchise, AXISLOCK is a dual-injected, one-piece structure that sits in the midsole and cradles the heel. adidas says the technology is designed to improve stability, support and balance during the swing and while walking the course, without compromising cushioning. For golfers who have found spikeless shoes comfortable but less planted than spiked alternatives, AXISLOCK represents adidas’s attempt to close that gap from the midsole rather than the outsole alone.
Updated TWISTGRIP Outsole
The outsole differs between the two models. In the CODECHAOS 27 BOA, adidas increased overall coverage in the spikeless TWISTGRIP outsole by 120% compared to the previous version. The updated design uses four lug shapes configured for grip in both wet and dry conditions.
In the laced model, the new TWISTGRIP outsole is concentrated in the forefoot and works alongside an adiwear® rubber outsole across the rest of the sole unit. Adidas says the combination is intended to balance traction with comfort.
Upper, Cushioning and BOA Fit
Both models feature a full-length BOOST midsole for cushioning, for walking or riding, and a two-layer waterproof TWISTSKIN upper designed to keep feet dry through mixed conditions while maintaining a lightweight, adaptive fit.
The BOA version adds BOA’s Performance Fit® Wrap, powered by the BOA Fit System, which wraps around the top of the foot and is hidden behind a zipper shroud closure built into the TWISTSKIN upper material. Adidas says the system provides a locked-in feel with additional stability for golfers who prefer dial closure over laces.

Pricing and Availability
The laced CODECHAOS 27 is priced at $160 / €160, while the CODECHAOS 27 BOA comes in at $200 / €180. Both are available for men and women. A junior model inspired by the adult footwear is also part of the range, though adidas did not confirm junior-specific pricing.
All models are available globally from July 1 through their WEBSITE, the adidas app and at select retailers. The launch reinforces adidas’s positioning of spikeless footwear as a performance category.
