- The Vattanac Legends Championship in November will be followed by the Vattanac Tour Championship in December.
- A limited number of amateurs will compete alongside Legends Tour professionals across three tournament rounds.

Vattanac Golf Resort will host consecutive Staysure Legends Tour tournaments in Cambodia, bringing the 2026 season to a close over two weeks in Phnom Penh.
The Troon-managed resort returns to the schedule after making its Legends Tour debut in 2025. The Vattanac Legends Championship will be played from November 27–29, before the Vattanac Tour Championship concludes the Road to Cambodia and the wider season from December 4–6.
Major champions and former Ryder Cup players are expected to feature across the fortnight, although the tournament fields have yet to be announced.
Drysdale returns as defending champion
David Drysdale will defend the Vattanac Legends Championship after ending a 19-year wait for a professional victory at the venue last November.
The Scot closed with a 6-under 66 to reach 12-under, finishing one stroke ahead of Peter Baker and Anthony Wall. Drysdale has since remained a regular contender, including a runner-up finish at the 2026 Legends Tour Trophy and a share of the 36-hole lead at the NI Legends.
South Africa’s Darren Fichardt won last season’s Vattanac Legends Championship – Legacy Edition, while Australian Scott Hend ended the year as Order of Merit champion. The 2026 rankings will be settled at the Tour Championship, with the season-long Order of Merit providing the main competitive focus during the second week.
Three-round amateur experience introduced
The opening tournament will include the first Vattanac Legends Amateur Experience, giving selected amateur golfers access to the professional event across all three competitive rounds.
Rather than playing a separate one-day Pro-Am, participants will compete on the tournament course alongside Legends Tour professionals. They will encounter the same course setup, tournament operations and competitive environment as the professional field.
Places will be limited, with the format giving amateurs a three-round role in the event instead of a single exhibition round.
Faldo courses provide the tournament setting
Vattanac Golf Resort sits on the outskirts of Phnom Penh and forms part of Vattanacville, a wider residential and leisure development by Vattanac Properties.
Its East and West courses were designed by six-time Major champion Sir Nick Faldo. Tropical conditions, water hazards and large, strongly contoured greens shape the test, while replicas inspired by Khmer architecture are integrated into the landscape.
The clubhouse and practice facilities will support tournament operations throughout both weeks. Troon International Executive Vice President DJ Flanders said the resort had gained useful experience from staging its first Legends Tour events in 2025.
“The golf courses provide a strong test, the facilities allow us to look after players and guests at the level expected of an international event, and the Vattanac team gained valuable tournament experience from hosting the Tour for the first time in 2025. It should be a very good fortnight of golf,” Flanders said.
Legends Tour CEO Phil Harrison said the expanded schedule followed a successful first visit to Phnom Penh.

Neak Oknha Sam Ang Vattanac, Executive Director of Vattanac Group, said the two tournaments would showcase Cambodia’s culture, heritage and tourism offering while supporting the development of golf in the country.
