  • DP World Tour Qualifying School Final Stage takes place at INFINITUM from November 6-11.
  • 156 players will compete for 15 DP World Tour cards for the 2027 season.
  • The final 36 of the 108 holes will be played on the Lakes course after a 72-hole cut.

Six rounds, 108 holes and 15 cards. The Final Stage of DP World Tour Qualifying School returns to INFINITUM on Spain’s Costa Dorada from November 6-11, with 156 players chasing a place on the 2027 DP World Tour.

The format is unchanged. A cut after 72 holes trims the field before the closing 36 holes, and those final two rounds will be played on the Greg Norman-designed Lakes course, which completed a €1.5 million renovation in 2024.

This will be the resort’s eighth Final Stage. INFINITUM has hosted every year since 2017 apart from a two-year pause during the pandemic. A three-year agreement signed in November 2024 keeps the event there until 2027.

A first look at the new Hills

The main change this year is the Alfonso Vidaor-designed Hills. It will be played in tournament conditions for the first time since a multi-million-euro, two-phase renovation led by Dave Sampson of European Golf Design.

As we reported when INFINITUM completed the Hills renovation in September, the opening hole has switched from a left-to-right dogleg to a right-to-left one. The par-3 10th has been lengthened and given a new green complex. The 15th has a new water feature, and the 15th and 16th have been reversed in the routing.

The most eye-catching change is the 18th. It now plays to an island-green-style finish against the course’s quarry backdrop. Drought-resistant Bermuda 419 has also been laid on the fairways to cut water use.

“INFINITUM has become synonymous with Final Stage, and its consistency as a venue is a huge asset to Qualifying School,” said Gary Butler, DP World Tour Qualifying School Director. “With two outstanding courses and a real test of golf across six rounds, it’s the perfect stage for players to earn their DP World Tour card for 2027.”

Lombard’s record to aim at

Last November, South Africa’s Zander Lombard set an INFINITUM Q School record. He won by 13 shots at 37-under-par to earn his card for 2026.

He followed Edoardo Molinari (2024), Freddy Schott (2023) and Simon Forsström (2022) in winning Final Stage at the resort. Victory is not the target for most of the field, though. A top-15 finish after six rounds is what changes a career.

Alongside the Lakes and Hills, INFINITUM also has the nine-hole Ruins course, giving the resort 45 holes in all.
