Rickie Fowler is celebrating his ten-year anniversary with PUMA Golf this week, inspiring the release of two limited edition caps.
The latest designs feature a throwback to his popular early-career, flat-brim style Monoline Cap as well as an elevated spin on his current go-to headwear, the P Cap.
There is certainly much for Fowler and PUMA to celebrate at their ten-year juncture.
The world number 19 has put together an estimable body of work over the last ten years, including victory at the Players Championship in 2015 and a formidably consistent major record.
Fowler has finished runner-up at The Masters, U.S Open and The Open Championship, as well as recording a third-place finish at the PGA Championship.
He has recorded two top-five finishes in all of the four majors throughout his career, and in a remarkable 2014 finished in the top-five of every major that calendar year.
In 2019, Fowler tasted victory with a win at the Phoenix Open in February, before top ten finishes at Royal Portrush and Augusta illustrated his continual threat as a major contender.
Throughout his career, Fowler has never failed to look the part.
Well-known for his on-course fashion, he has always stood out from the crowd on tour – his Sunday orange being a classic personal staple.
While his final round colour scheme (inspired by his time at Oklahoma State) has become trademark, his flat-brim caps have historically been a key component to his signature look.
In recognition of this, PUMA have released a modernised version of Rickie’s early-career Monoline Cap, featuring a gold outlined PUMA cat.
It is a fitting nod to Fowler’s fashionable entry into the golf world, as Rickie’s style instantly became a popular look with young players and fans.
In addition to this throwback, PUMA have also put a brand-new spin on Fowler’s current cap of choice – the P Cap.
The ten-year anniversary ‘P 110’ features a raised P logo lined with gold stitching to complement the moisture-wicking sweatband and slight curve brim.
For Fowler, his 2009 tour debut might seem a distant memory, but his impact in the golf fashion world is as stark as ever.
