Hero World Challenge R1

Four-way tie for lead in the Bahamas

Sepp Straka was called in to take Tiger Woods’ place after Woods had to pull out due to a foot injury and made use of the opportunity on a rainy day in the Bahamas, signing for a 3-under 69 for a share of the lead in the Hero World Challenge.

“It was a huge opportunity and just awesome to be here,” he said.

Tied alongside the Austrian are South Korean Tom Kim, American Collin Morikawa and defending champion Viktor Hovland of Norway.

Kim is the only player in the field who remained bogey-free.

American Sam Burns lies in solo fifth place at 2-under.
