Amy Olson is leading the CME Group Tour Championship after firing a bogey-free 9-under 63 in the opening round on Thursday in Florida.

"It's just fun to be playing well," Olson said. "It's always a good feeling. I had a lot like perfect numbers in today. Rolled the ball really well. I was just seeing the line, reading the putts really well, and hitting it where I wanted."

Her best finish in the LPGA so far came earlier this year at the Evian Championship where she came second.

Nasa Hataoka, a two-time winner this year, fired a 64 to tie for second place with Brittany Lincicome. Hataoka, who was fourth in the projected CME Globe bonus race standings, moves up to first ahead of Ariya Jutanugarn, currently T24 at 2-under.

Jutanugarn has already won LPGA Player of the Year and money titles and is projected to win the Vare Trophy for low scoring average. Should she win the bonus she would be the first woman to sweep the major season-ending LPGA awards.

Brittany Lincicome started with five straight birdies and could have matched Olson but closed with a bogey.

"I didn't really even think about it until maybe like the fifth one in a row," Lincicome said. "I was like, Oh, yeah, we're doing something great this week."
