Adrian Meronk has become the first Polish winner in DP World Tour history.

He started the day with a one-shot lead but had lost it with five holes left to player after New Zealander Ryan Fox closed with a 64 to take the clubhouse lead at 17-under.

Meronk went on to close birdie-birdie-eagle for a 66 to reach 20-under and win his maiden DP World Tour title.

"I'm going to keep going forward. It's another step for me. And I'm excited I achieved it here in Ireland, such a great history, and I'm just super excited. I can't describe it.

"It was an unbelievable feeling and to hit such a good shot on the last hole, I'm super proud of myself and my caddie, and yeah, super happy."

Fox finished second followed by South Africa's Thriston Larence in third place at 16-under after closing with a 67.

Scotland's David Law carded a 67 for a share of fourth place at 15-under alongside American John Catlin (69) and Paraguayan Fabrizio Zanotti (70).

Spain's Jorge Campillo, who led after the second round, closed with a 71 to finish seventh at 14-under.
