- Miyu Yamashita won the 2026 Aramco Korea Championship on 22-under.
- Her bogey-free final-round 63 matched the course record first set by Sara Kouskova.
- Czechia’s Sara Kouskova also shot 63 and finished solo second.
Some Sunday leaders protect what they have. Miyu Yamashita went out and set a course record.
The Japanese world number five closed with a bogey-free 9-under 63 at New Korea Country Club in Seoul to win the Aramco Korea Championship by three strokes on 22-under. She had led since the 36-hole mark, and the victory is her fourth of 2026.
It is also only her second Ladies European Tour title, following her breakthrough major at the 2025 AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl.

How Yamashita pulled clear
Yamashita began the day a single shot ahead of Yani Tseng, so there was little margin for error. She made birdies at the 3rd, 5th, 8th and 10th to reach the closing seven holes in a strong position.
It was not a comfortable one. Kouskova was tearing through the field ahead of her, and the 25-year-old needed to respond. She did, rolling in three birdies in four holes before an eagle at the par-5 17th settled it. That hole had already given her a birdie in each of the first three rounds.
The record she broke had stood at 65, set by Seojin Park in 2025 and equalled twice earlier this week, by Patricie Mackova in round one and Céline Herbin-Marshall on Saturday.
“I’m so happy. Today my shot, my putting, everything was feeling so good. I had trust in my game. I like this course,” said Yamashita.
“It’s my first time playing this tournament and I’m so happy to win, and I also didn’t think I could win so many times, so I’m happy about that.”
That tally includes June’s Meijer LPGA Classic, where she came from five back to beat Lottie Woad in a playoff.
Kouskova’s 63 not quite enough
Kouskova began the day three back on 10-under and did just about everything she could. The two-time LET winner birdied the 1st, 3rd and 5th holes, went back-to-back at 9 and 10, added two more at 13 and 14, and finished with birdies at 17 and 18 to set the clubhouse target on 19-under.
Her 63 broke the new course record. It was a strong response to Saturday, when three bogeys in the closing stretch had cost her a share of the lead.
“It’s been such a good day, it’s just topped off a really good week. I’m really happy with how we played and I couldn’t have done much better golf today honestly,” said Kouskova.
“I couldn’t catch [Miyu] even with this because I thought if I have a really low one today, it could be good. I’m still so pumped. I tried to put one foot in front of the other and stayed really calm during the whole day.”
Ding and Tseng share third
Hong Kong’s Ginnie Ding and Chinese Taipei’s Yani Tseng tied for third on 16-under.
Tseng had started Sunday one behind in the final pairing but could not keep pace, finishing with a 68. Ding closed with a bogey-free 66, her best result on the LET, having arrived straight from the Asian Games.
“It was a very special week, and I have so many emotions. I went into it with an open mind having just come from the Asian Games. It was a promising week and I felt there was so much potential. It was really nice to be able to harness it this week and the putts dropped,” said Ding.
Morgan moves top of the rookie race
Two LET rookies, Anna Morgan of the United States and Australia’s Stephanie Bunque, tied for fifth place on 14-under.
Morgan’s closing 65 contained 10 birdies and lifted her to the top of the Rookie of the Year standings.
“I just really got into the zone and didn’t realise how many under I was at the turn and looked at my scorecard,” said Morgan. “I don’t know whether that was a good or a bad thing.
“I got a little excited and amped up on the back nine. I’m proud of my round and glad to have a nice final day and put myself back up towards the top.”
China’s Ruixin Liu and Korea’s Hyo Joo Kim tied for seventh on 13-under. Kim had won the previous two editions at New Korea Country Club. Italy’s Roberta Liti and France’s Herbin-Marshall finished a shot further back to complete the top 10.
This was the first edition played as 72 holes of individual strokeplay, with a $2 million purse on the PIF Global Series. The extra round proved decisive: two of the lowest scores of the week came on the day the old format never had.
The tour now takes a week off. The Asian swing resumes with the Hero Women’s Indian Open at DLF Golf & Country Club from October 22 to 25.
