Mizuno’s DP World Tour Truck—a new class of tour support

Mizuno has launched its new state-of-the-art DP World Tour truck, set to make a bold statement at the biggest professional events. But what exactly is inside this impressive setup, and what unique experiences does it offer players and visitors alike?

Mizuno today unveiled its new, state-of-the-art DP World Tour Truck—a completely reimagined space that not only delivers more space and more functionality to its tour staff but also delivers more brand presence on the professional golf circuit.

The new state-of-the-art Mizuno DP World Tour Truck

More space, more tech, more impact – Mizuno tour support reaches new lengths!

This 17.5 metre long fully air-conditioned truck,  equipped with Starlink high-speed internet, can be expanded to nearly 5 metres wide when deployed to offer three spacious, dedicated zones, each one with a specific operational purpose.

Mizuno's new DP World Tour Truck will take player support to the next level.

Zone 1 – the fitting room

Custom fitting remains a core pillar of Mizuno’s golf business and so it is no accident that at the heart of this new truck is a workshop and is the largest zone of the three. This space, at 23 square metres, is large enough for multiple club technicians to work simultaneously. Every Mizuno staff player’s preferred heads, shafts, and grips are onboard, ensuring that equipment can be easily and expertly adjusted, rebuilt and /or customised at speed and with precision. This golf workshop-on-wheels also has a new laser engraving machine for wedge personalisation or for putter sight-lines, services that were previously only possible off-site.

Zone 2 – The clubhouse, locker room and pro-shop all-in-one!

The next zone is a player service area. This is where the tour staff can collect their weekly allocation of hats, balls, towels, gloves and other essential golf paraphernalia from dedicated pigeonholes. This welcoming space with its big sofa, high-top desk with workstations, emulates a green room for its tour staff, offering a place to relax when not performing on the course.   Equipped with a couple of fridges, grill, microwave and a coffee machine, it’s a practical and comfortable space to retreat to during the high demands of tournament schedules.

Zone 3 – the office

The third zone is a 14.8 square-metre office and showroom that can be quickly and seamlessly reconfigured to support product displays, operational meetings or brand showcases. A Sonos sound system is a new feature of this truck, allowing different music to be played across the independent zones.

Now that’s a clever use of space!

All areas of the truck are functional and the crowning glory of the new Mizuno truck is the roof terrace. A premium hospitality space bringing partners and visitors right on top of the action be it at the practice ranges, event villages or activation zones.

Delivering best-in-class support

The Truck truly symbolizes Mizuno’s investment to DP World Tour operations, offering exceptional service to its staff players and its team of expert fitters and technicians. The thought, design and attention to detail that has gone into this new truck is also reflective of Mizuno’s innate focus on craftsmanship and innovation that it pours into the development and manufacture of its products.

Retiring its previous model after 15 years of service, Mizuno’s purpose-built mobile facility is a statement piece of the brand’s commitment to supporting its tour staff and boosting its presence on the professional golf circuit. Its primary function is to deliver top-rate support to tour staff whilst also serving to engage its retail partners out in the field. The truck will take centre stage at an increased number of “Tour Experience Days” as it builds on the success of their recent expansion in the custom fitting network and their dedicated GTRs (Golf Technical Representatives).

A feature beyond the DP Tour

Though purpose-built for the DP Tour, this optimal mobile facility will be at R&A events, LET tournaments and various feeder tours as it commits to supporting emerging talent through its “Young Lions” strategy. The truck will also be present at other sporting disciplines at selected events across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, acting as a brand ambassador to show its investment in sports as a brand beyond golf.

What about the other truck?

The faithful retired Mizuno Truck isn’t heading for the scrap yard! Though retiring from the road, it will still play a part in Mizuno’s development and will be installed as a permanent feature at Mizuno’s EMEA Tour base at Bearwood Lakes GC. There it will offer a premium Mizuno experience as a hub for fittings, service and brand interaction not only to new and established customers but to professional players who may need Mizuno’s services while the lead truck is in transit.

With its expanded capabilities and vastly upgraded on-site experience, the Mizuno Tour Truck is set to become a standout presence wherever it goes.
