Due to darkness, round one of the Puerto Rico Open was suspended for the day at 6:30 p.m. with 54 players still needing to complete their rounds. Round one will resume at 7:20 a.m. Friday, with round two scheduled to begin at 7:50 a.m
Americans Scott Piercy and Joe Highsmith both completed their rounds with 7-under 65s to take the lead.
South African Garrick Higgo and Americans Brice Garnett, Erik Barnes and Kevin Streelman are tied in third place at 6-under with Streeman through fourteen holes.
If not otherwise exempt, the winner of this week’s Puerto Rico Open will earn a spot in next week’s Players Championship field, as well as other select events.
