The latest edition of Golf East Mallorca’s ‘The Battle of Stars’ will take place at Pula Golf Resort and Son Servera Golf Club this month, bringing together leading names from the worlds of sport and entertainment in support of the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and multiple sclerosis (MS).

Returning to Mallorca from June 10-11, the annual event combines world-class golf with a powerful charitable mission, raising awareness and support for those affected by these debilitating neurological conditions.

Rafael Nadal

This year’s event boasts one of its most prestigious fields to date, led by Spanish tennis icon Rafael Nadal. A 22-time Grand Slam champion whose remarkable career secured his place among the sport’s all-time greats, Nadal will bring his passion for golf to Pula alongside an outstanding cast of international sporting figures, including former Barcelona, Manchester City and Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola, Gianfranco Zola, Álvaro Morata, Pepe Reina and Henrik Larsson.

The charitable initiative will begin with a special welcome dinner on June 9 at Cap Vermell Grand Hotel, marking the official opening of the tournament. Guests will enjoy an exclusive menu created by acclaimed chef Álvaro Salazar of VORO, the only restaurant in the Balearic Islands to hold two Michelin stars and three Repsol Suns.

ALS is a rare degenerative disease that has a progressive impact on voluntary muscle movement by damaging nerve cells over time. Multiple sclerosis, while sharing some symptoms, is a distinct condition and impacts an estimated 2.9 million people worldwide. Proceeds from ‘The Battle of Stars’ will be donated to combating both conditions; while both are currently incurable, research is continuously improving treatments used to manage them.

Arnau Sala, general manager at Pula Golf Resort, said: “Each year, Pula welcomes extraordinary athletes and personalities to compete, but what makes this tournament truly special is the shared commitment to supporting those facing the challenges of ALS and multiple sclerosis.”

This year’s tournament sponsors include golf apparel brand BRK, Cap Vermell Grand Hotel, the Fundació Mallorca Turisme, and estate agent Inmobiliaria Sa Coma as well as the Mallorca tourism board.

Known for its championship pedigree and Mediterranean setting, Pula Golf Resort will provide the focal point for the event, hosting key tournament rounds and player activities.

Originally opened in 1995, the resort’s par-72 course was later redesigned by Spanish golfing great José María Olazábal. The layout has since hosted multiple professional tournaments, including events on the DP World Tour, and continues to be recognised as one of Mallorca’s leading golf destinations. Its role as host venue has been central to the growth and identity of ‘The Battle of Stars’, helping elevate the tournament’s profile year on year.
