Stewart Cink birdied the first playoff hole to defeat Miguel Ángel Jiménez at the Boeing Classic and claim his fifth PGA Tour Champions title of the 2026 season.
Cink closed with a 7-under 65 at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge, reaching 12-under after rounds of 68, 71 and 65. He then returned to the par-5 18th and made the decisive birdie in the first extra hole.
The 53-year-old became the first PGA Tour Champions player to win five times in one season since Steve Stricker collected six titles in 2023. Cink has reached that mark in 14 starts this year.
Cink comes from four shots behind
Cink began Sunday four strokes off the lead and tied for 10th. Eight birdies and one bogey moved him through a congested leaderboard before Jiménez’s late charge brought him to 12-under.
The victory was Cink’s ninth in 50 PGA Tour Champions starts and his third secured through a playoff. He previously won extra-hole contests at the 2025 Insperity Invitational and 2025 The Ally Challenge, while his other six senior victories came by at least two strokes.
His only playoff victory on the PGA Tour came at the 2009 Open Championship, where he defeated Tom Watson at Turnberry.
Cink’s 2026 campaign began with victory at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai in January. He followed that result with the Hoag Classic in March, the Senior PGA Championship in April and the Regions Tradition in May.
The victory came one year after Cink held the 36-hole lead at Snoqualmie Ridge but finished runner-up. His victory ended a sequence of five consecutive international champions at the tournament.

Jiménez sets tournament record in late charge
Jiménez forced the playoff with an 8-under 64, matching the lowest round of the day. The 62-year-old played the back nine in 8-under 28, setting a Boeing Classic nine-hole scoring record while making birdie on each of his final six holes.
The 2022 champion led the field with 20 birdies during the week. His runner-up finish moved him from 12th to eighth in the Charles Schwab Cup standings.
Denmark’s Søren Kjeldsen finished one stroke outside the playoff after a bogey-free 68. His 11-under total of 205 secured third place, his best finish of the season, and lifted him from 20th to 14th in the Schwab Cup standings.
Seven players share fourth place
Ernie Els, David Toms, George McNeill, Fred Couples, Jerry Kelly, Steve Flesch and Steven Alker tied for fourth at 10-under.
Els matched Jiménez’s 64 without a bogey, climbing 53 positions after beginning the final round tied for 57th. Couples, a Seattle native, shot 67 to finish inside the top four at his hometown event at age 66. He also moved from 79th to 59th in the season standings.
Alker entered the final round with the 54-hole lead but closed with a one-under 71.
Steve Allan and Joe Durant joined Kjeldsen and Els as the four players who completed bogey-free final rounds. First-round leader Rory Sabbatini shot an even-par 72, finishing tied for 14th at 6-under in his Boeing Classic debut.
