Russell Henley came from four shots behind overnight leader Xander Schauffele and closed with a 5-under 67 to take a three shot lead into the final round of The CJ Cup at 15-under 201.

“Anybody can come at me. You can go low out here. The greens are great and it's gettable, but you've got to play well to do that. You've got to do everything well. I've got to just keep my head down and play a good round for me.”

Shoud he win on Sunday it would be his first victory since the 2017 Houston Open.

Schauffele struggled on Saturday, had to contend with late bogeys and closed with a 74 but remains tied for second place while first round leader Tyrell Hatton made a single birdie on the final hole and closed with a 73, tied for sixth. They were the only players in the top 25 in the field to shoot over par.

“I was trying to figure out what was worse, the pace of play or my quality of golf,” said Schauffele. “It was kind of a tie today. Not to be a sour person, but just one of those days. Today was my bad day for the week. Got it out of the way before Sunday. I guess I'm in a familiar place being three back now."

Schauffele has won four times on Tour and did not hold the lead heading into the final round in any of them.

Also tied for second place is Lanto Griffin, who closed with a 66 in spite of finding the water on the par-5 18th and making bogey.
