Tiger Woods has come under fire after he was caught on camera passing a tampon to Justin Thomas during the first round of the Genesis Invitational last night.

The 15-time Major champion sidled up to his good friend as the pair walked off the ninth tee. The inference is Woods was pranking his playing partner for failing to outdrive him once again.

As Thomas realises what he had been handed, the two-time USPGA champion throws it to the ground.

After his round Woods referenced the enjoyment and the fun he got from “the group”. Both his playing partners are good friends.

“It was a great round,” said the 47-year-old. “The ebb and flow of needling each other, encouraging each other and telling stories.”

Woods finished on two under par, five behind the first-round leaders. The trio were due to start their second round at 3.24pm today
