World number 1 Jon Rahm won his second match of the WGC – Dell Technologies Match Play, beating Cameron Young 5&4.

“I’m happy, feeling good. Played good in both matches, and today was a tricky day. Cameron started really good, three birdies through the first five, and the wind was pumping. I kept playing solid. I kept playing good golf. I stayed bogey free, and he made a couple mistakes, and I think the momentum shifted and I was able to get the win.”
The Spaniard, who has yet to win a World Golf Championship title, only needs half a point to make it to the knockout stages for the third time in five starts.

Four up with four to play agains Erik van Rooyen, Ireland’s Shane Lowry thought he had it in the bag when the South African shot par-eagle-birdie to take it to the last hole.
“Four up with four to play, it’s so hard to win a match at this level against world-class golfers,” said Lowry.
“I thought I had the match sewn up with four to go and it’s amazing this game, this tournament, it’s hard to win games. Especially these last four or five holes, anything can happen. I got dragged down the 18th and thankfully I managed to scrape a win.”

Making his first appearance in this event, England’s Richard Bland needs to beat compatriot Lee Westwood to move to the next stage and move into the World top-50.
Spain’s Sergio Garcia was three down again American Collin Morikawa with five left to play but birdied the next three hole and matched pars with Morikawa for a tie.
“If you would offer me a tie, a half on the 14th tee I would have definitely taken it and walk, run to the clubhouse,” said Garcia.
“I got in a great round on 14, 15, 16, 17 and, yeah, you can say what a shame that I just, I hit that putt on 17 just a tiny bit right in the middle of the hole and he made a great par putt, but you got to expect that he’s going to make it.
“But it was a hard-played match and I’m not going to lie. I’m happy with the tie, but a win would have been better.”
There’s no quit in @TheSergioGarcia.
