CHICAGO, June 16, 2019 โ€“ Gary Woodland secured his first PGA TOUR Major victory today at the venerable 2019 US OPEN at Pebble Beach.

After making the turn with a two-shot lead, Woodland proved his mental tenacity as he embarked upon his biggest achievement. Using his Staff Model Blades, Woodlandโ€™s rock-solid iron play led to him being 2nd overall in greens in regulation.

โ€œItโ€™s been a year of learning and progression. To win my first major here at the US Open in Pebble Beach is an unbelievable feeling,โ€ said Woodland. โ€œThis course is so tough. You need every edge possible to play your best, and with partners like Wilson and their Staff irons, I felt completely confident that I could make the shots I needed in crucial situations.โ€

Woodland joined the Wilson Golf Advisory Staff in January,  And his prescence and insights have quickly permeated the brand.
