Mikko Korhonen signed for a 70 featuring an eagle at the par-5 3rd hole, two birdies and three bogeys to take a slim lead at 11-under into the final day of the KLM Open.
“It was really, really fun today,” said the Finn. “I didn’t really know what to expect because I haven’t played for a while, and in the circumstances like this, so yeah it was fun.
“It was definitely tougher today than the last two days.
“Just try to enjoy it. Go step by step, shot by shot. It would mean quite a lot but let’s not go there just yet.”
Guido Migliozzi signed for a 66 to move into second place at 10-under followed in third place at 9-under by fellow Italian Matteo Manassero who shot seven birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey at the par-4 2nd.
Also in third place are Dane Rasmus Højgaard who made three birdies and a bogey for a 69 and American Sean Crocker whose 71 comprised of five birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey at the par-3 17th.
Korhonen and Migliozzi are both also contending for a spot at the Open Championship this week as the two leading players not already exempt.
