Scottie Scheffler wins sixth title of the season

Procore Championship R4

Scottie Scheffler carded a closing 65 in the US PGA Championship

Scottie Scheffler made a single bogey and six birdies on the final day at the Procore Championship to close with a 5-under 67, reach 19-under and win by one shot.

“Feeling good. Overall it was a good prep week getting ready for the Ryder Cup. It was definitely nice to see some of my teammates on the leaderboard. Ben and I had a good battle today. It was a good prep week, the guys definitely stayed sharp this week,” said Scheffler

“I always focus as much as I can on my preparation going into tournaments, that’s what gives me confidence, and I feel like I’m as prepared as possible for the Ryder Cup, and I think we’re all excited for the tournament to get started. We’ve got three days in New York to compete and have fun. We’re all looking forward to it.

“As far as the tournament went, I did some good stuff over the course of four days, especially over the weekend. Felt like my game got better as the week went on and played some really nice golf Saturday and Sunday to be sitting here.”

Scheffler has finished inside the top-25 in all twenty starts this season, with a season-high seventeen top-10 finishes (including fifteen straight). His last finish outside the top-10 was at The Players Championship (T20).

The World Number 1 leads all players with six wins this season (The CJ Cup Byron Nelson, PGA Championship, the Memorial Tournament, the Open Championship, BMW Championship, Procore Championship).

It is his second consecutive season with at least six wins (2024/7, 2025/6), joining Tiger Woods (1999/8, 2000/9, 2005/6, 2006/8, 2007/7, 2009/6) as the only two players since 1983 to record 6+ wins in multiple seasons.

This was the American’s nineteenth PGA Tour win in his 150th career start at the age of 29. He moves to T40 on the all-time wins list with nineteen; tied with Ben Crenshaw, Ernie Els, Doug Ford, Hubert Green, Tom Kite and Bill Mehlhorn.

American Ben Griffin had held the lead since Friday and started well with three consecutive birdies from the first but made just one more birdie and two bogeys to close with a 70 and finish runner-up at 18-under. He recorded his eleventh top-10 finish of the season, second most by any player only behind Scheffler. This marks his fourth runner-up finish on Tour and second this season (2025 Procore Championship/2nd, 2025 Memorial Tournament/2nd, 2024 RBC Canadian Open/2nd, 2023 Sanderson Farms Championship/PT2).

Lanto Griffin of the USA made one bogey and recorded the low round of the day with a 7-under 65 to reach 17-under and finish solo third. He led all players this week in Strokes Gained: Putting (8.943) and earned his best finish on Tour since winning the 2019 Texas Children’s Houston Open.

Argentia’s Emiliano Grillo made one bogey at the 5th and then six birdies including at his final three holes for a 66 to earn his second top-10 finish of the season (P2/John Deere Classic).

Tied in fourth place at 16-under alongside Grillo was American Amateur Jackson Koivun who recorded the best finish by an amateur in Procore Championship history (previous best: T50/Nick Dunlap/2024). The Number 1 ranked player in the World Amateur Golf Ranking recorded his third consecutive top-10 finish on Tour (T6/2025 ISCO Championship, T5/2025 Wyndham Championship).

FedExCup Fall

The 2025 Procore Championship is the first event of the FedExCup Fall, a group of seven tournaments played after the Tour Championship that finalizes eligibility for the 2026 PGA Tour Season.

At the conclusion of the final FedExCup Fall event (The RSM Classic), players inside the top 100 of the FedExCup Fall Points List will secure exempt status for 2026, while players finishing between Nos. 101-150 will have conditional status.

Nos. 1-50 in the FedExCup standings through the Tour Championship are locked in their positions while Nos. 51 and beyond carry their FedExCup points into the Fall. Nos. 51-60 through the FedExCup Fall will qualify for two Signature Events in 2026 (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and The Genesis Invitational).

Winners of events during the FedExCup Fall receive the similar benefits of winners of Full-Field Events during the Regular Season, including 500 FedExCup points, Official World Golf Ranking points, a two-year PGA Tour exemption (exempt thru 2027) and invitations to The Sentry, The Players Championship and PGA Championship.
