• Scottie Scheffler is the fourth American to lose four matches during one Ryder Cup played on home soil, joining Steve Stricker (2012), Raymond Floyd (1983) and Fuzzy Zoeller (1979). No American has ever lost five matches at one Ryder Cup, home or away.

• Both Tommy Fleetwood and Jon Rahm have won their first six career Ryder Cup foursomes matches. The only other players to win each of their first six career Ryder Cup foursomes matches are Sergio Garcia (8) and Luke Donald (6).

• The only time that Europe swept a session, 4-0, on US soil was in 1987 at Muirfield Village (4-0-0 in Friday afternoon four-ball).

• Under the current format of 12 singles matches on the final day (since 1979) the most points earned by either team in singles is 8.5: Team USA in 1979 (8-3-1), Europe in 2006 (8-3-1) and 2012 (8-3-1) and Team USA in 1999 (8-3-1).

• Longest active Ryder Cup match unbeaten streaks entering today’s afternoon four-ball session: Jon Rahm (7, 5-0-2), Tyrrell Hatton (6, 5-0-1), Tommy Fleetwood (4, 4-0-0) and Rory McIlroy (4, 3-0-1).

• Longest active Ryder Cup match winning streaks entering today’s afternoon four-ball session: Tommy Fleetwood (4), Tyrrell Hatton (4) and Jon Rahm (3).

• Eight and half points matches the second-highest total that the European team has ever amassed through three sessions under the current 28-point format (since 1979). They led 9.5 to 2.5 in 2023 and 8.5 to 3.5 in 1987 (both victories). No team has ever overcome a deficit of 8.5-to-3.5 or worse after three sessions to win the Ryder Cup.

• The European side won Friday’s four-ball session, 2.5 to 1.5. They have not won the cumulative four-ball battle at one Ryder Cup since 2010.

• Scottie Scheffler is just the second American player to compete in each of the first three sessions of a Ryder Cup and lose every match. Xander Schauffele did that in 2023.
