J.T. Poston opened the third round of the Memorial Tournament at even par through five holes with a birdie at the 2nd and bogey at the 4th before play was suspended.

Ryan Gerard made two birdies and one bogey through five holes to join Poston in the lead at 9-under.

Sam Burns made two birdies and is bogey-free through six holes. He lies in third place at 8-under followed in fourth at 6-under by Eric Cole, also bogey-free through six holes, who eagled the par-5 5th and made one birdie.

England’s Tommy Fleetwood, the only non-American in the top-5, is tied in fifth place at 4-under having made one birdie and one bogey through six holes.

Tied alongside him are Keegan Bradley who made an eagle at the par-5 7th, three birdies and one bogey through eleven holes and Wyndham Clark who fired two birdies through seven holes.

Two-time Memorial Tournament defending champion and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler played his first eleven holes in the third round in 4-under before carding bogeys at the 12th and 14th. He trails by eight in T12 in bid to become the first player to win an event on the PGA Tour in three consecutive years since Steve Stricker (2009-2011 John Deere Classic).

World No.2 Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland has made four birdies and two bogeys through sixteen holes and is also T12.

Due to dangerous weather in the area, round three was suspended at 11:16 a.m. ET and resumed at 12:59 p.m. (delay of 1 hour and 43 minutes).

The third round was suspended again at 4:34 p.m. due to dangerous weather in the area and eventually suspended for the day at 5:55 p.m. with a resumption time scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

The final round will feature groups of three off Nos. 1 and 10 from approximately 11 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
