Todd Clements Takes Two-Shot Lead Into Corales Puntacana Final Round

The Englishman reached 18-under with a third-round 67, leaving Ben James as his closest challenger before Sunday’s finish in the Dominican Republic.

Todd Clements will take a two-shot lead into Sunday’s final round of the Corales Puntacana Championship after posting a five-under 67 on Saturday.

The 29-year-old Englishman leads at 18 under through 54 holes, with Ben James alone in second at 16-under. James is the only player within three strokes of the lead at Puntacana Resort & Club’s Corales Golf Course in the Dominican Republic.

Clements’ total of 198 is his lowest 54-hole score on the PGA Tour, improving on the 204 he recorded at the 2024 Barracuda Championship. This is also the first time he has held or shared a Tour lead after three rounds.

Max McGreevy, Stefano Mazzoli and Gordon Sargent are tied for third at 14-under. Another five players, including 19-year-old Blades Brown, are one stroke further back.

Clements Chases His First PGA Tour Title

Clements is making only his seventh career PGA Tour start and his tournament debut at Corales. His best previous result was third place at the 2025 Barracuda Championship, where he began the final round tied for 27th.

He missed the cut at the ISCO Championship in his only other PGA To appearance this season. On the DP World Tour, Clements has five top-25 finishes in 2026 and entered this week at No. 115 in the Race to Dubai rankings.

His lone DP World Tour victory came at the 2023 D+D Real Czech Masters, where a closing 63 secured a one-stroke win over Matt Wallace.

Victory on Sunday would make Clements the sixth first-time PGA To winner this season. He would also become the second English champion at Corales after Wallace won in 2023, while securing PGA To status through 2027 as a non-member and collecting 585 Race to Dubai points.

The 54-hole leader or co-leader has won 10 of the first 28 PGA To events this season. At Corales, the player leading or sharing the lead after Saturday has won three of the past eight editions, most recently Joel Dahmen in 2021.

James Leads the Pursuit

James matched Clements’ 67 and will begin the final round two behind. The former University of Virginia player is seeking his first To victory in his fifth start since turning professional. He earned membership through 2027 by finishing first in the 2026 PGA TOUR University ranking.

McGreevy moved into a tie for third with the day’s low round, a 65. Mazzoli shot 66, his lowest To round, while Sargent also reached 14-under after shooting 69.

Brown’s 67 included an eagle at the par-five seventh. He shares sixth place with Aaron Wise, Marcel Schneider, Jacob Skov Olesen and Joe Highsmith at 13-under.

The final round will be played Sunday on the 7,670-yard, par-72 Corales course, where the closing stretch runs beside the Caribbean Sea. Dahmen sits eight shots behind Clements at 10*under after a third-round 69.
