“Golf Clubs Still On Us”: Algarve extends free golf bag booking window

In a boost to northern Europe’s winter-tied golfing community – and following on from a successful introduction last month – the sunshine destination of the Algarve has announced that it is extending its “Golf Clubs are on Us” booking window until the end of January, and is also increasing the travel window until the end of May 2021.

Extending both the previous booking and travel windows by an additional month will enable thousands more golfers to experience Europe’s top golf holiday destination up until the end of May next year, as the Algarve lends some Christmas cheer to the cost of golfers’ holidays – with savings of up to €100 per person.

Since launching the campaign – which is being administered in partnership with leading golf travel companies – the destination has seen high demand, with tour operator partner agreements confirmed with businesses in the UK, Ireland, Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and The Netherlands.

The free golf bag offer will be applied to bookings made with a licensed golf tour operator for a minimum five-night stay in the sun-drenched golfing Mecca – taken at any point up to the end of May, with bookings having to be confirmed by January 31, 2021.

A spokesperson for Algarve Tourism said: “As temperatures continue to drop across northern Europe, extending our ‘Golf Clubs are on Us’ promotion provides some heart-warming news and additional opportunities for more golfers to come and experience spring sunshine golf with us.

“We are hopeful that the recent positive vaccine news, tied to the Clean & Safe measures at our venues, will have golfers jumping at the chance to get on board with this offer.”
