Japan’s Nasa Hataoka signed for a final round 67 to finish at 16-under 197 and earn her second title of the year at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G.

Her second win in this event ,after becoming a Rolex First-Time Winner in 2018, is also her fifth title on the LPGA Tour.

“My first win being here and of course the two holes-in-one [in the second round], it kind of feels like it’s my power spot,” said Hataoka.

Hataoka fired five birdies and a single bogey at the par-4 13th, narrowly avoiding a double-bogey.

“It was pretty tight, very stressful because the other players were so close to me. It was pretty stressful for me, yeah. The grass type, it matches what I was doing when I was young, and so I’m able to kind of know how it reacts, so that kind of helps me. And so I like this course.”

She now has the third-most victories by a Japanese player behind Ayako Okamoto (17) and Ai Miyazato (9).

South Korean Eun-Hee Ji and Australian Minjee Lee tied for second at 15-under. Ji signed for a bogey-free 67 having made two birdies and an eagle at the par-5 14th.

Lee struggled on the front nine making the turn in 36 after two birdies and two bogeys but produced three more birdies to close with a 68.

Yuka Saso of the Philippines and American Danielle Kang tied for fourth at 14-under after both recording 65s.

Saso, making her first appearance in Arkansas after a month-long break, produced two eagles at the par-5s 7th and 18th, four birdies and two bogeys in her final round.

“I had probably like 230 [yards] to the flag [on No. 7], help wind. Had 5-wood probably like 50 or 60 feet putt, left to right. Pretty long putt. It was pretty good, and went in. Maybe lucky,” said Saso. “On 18 I got to like 210-215 to the flag, into. I had a 5-wood again, and actually after I hit I said, ‘Good.’ So I hit pretty good shot and had two eagles today.”

American Stacy Lewis (66) and South Korean Jin Young Ko (67) tied for sixth at 12-under.

Eight players tied for eighth at 11-under, including past champion So Yeon Ryu of South Korea, who signed for a final-round 62 for the round of the week. Ryu originally set the tournament 18-hole scoring record when she won in 2017.

“I had 10 birdies today. You know, was really kind of feeling bad to make that the second hole, because that was three-putt. But it was really, really great to have a super low round. Haven’t done it for a while. And then it’s definitely help me out to gain some confidence,” said Ryu. “Today, definitely my second shot was much better, which means I feel like I’m in the right progress. I really want to take this opportunity as gaining my confidence level and then just keep going to enjoy the golf.”
