Sebastián Muñoz, a Colombian who went to college in Texas and now calls the area home, will take a one-shot lead into the final day of the AT&T Byron Nelson after carding a 66 on Saturday to reach 21-under.

“Overall my mental game was really good. I got off to a good start and kind of kept pushing. I didn’t let, even though the playing partners weren’t playing as good in the beginning, I kind of kept up the pace and put up the good numbers and then Ryan [Palmer]followed pretty good.

“So I think it was good, both of us kind of feed a little off each other, knowing that there’s a lot more guys in this tournament than what it looks like and just happy to be in the position I am for tomorrow.”

Local favourite Jordan Spieth lies in second place having carded a 64.

“So having a chance to win this event, this will be kind of the best chance I’ve maybe ever had going into Sunday,” said Spieth. “Done a good job not putting too much pressure on myself, I just wanted to get into contention and obviously see what needs to be sharpened for next week [the PGA Championship]. But there’s no better prep for a major than winning the week before.”

Chilean Joaquinn Niemann produced another 65 to move into third place at 19-under ahead of Americans James Hahn (61) and Justin Thomas (64) in fourth at 18-under.
