First round leader Joachim B. Hansen of Denmark and Italy's Francesco Laporta both signed for 67s on Saturday for a share of the lead heading into the final day of the AVIV Dubai Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates.

"It was very good from tee to green, the best I've ever played from tee to green," said Hansen. "Missed a lot of good chances in the beginning and a few on the back nine. All in all five under is a good score but it could have been a lot better.

"I'm looking forward to tomorrow. There is a lot of chances out there so just stay patient and see what happens."

They started the day in a share of second place one shot behind overnight leader and defending champion Antoine Rozner of France and made six birdies and a single bogey to reach 19-under.

“It was a good day, it was a good fight with the other guys," said Laporta. "It wasn’t easy this afternoon, it was pretty windy and the greens were getting firmer so I’m really happy with my score."

Dubai Championship 2021 R3

“It’s obviously the third round and we were all in contention so there was more pressure than the other two days. It was more windy so it was the toughest day of the week.

“My game is pretty good actually. I didn’t hit the irons very solid like the other two days, so we’re going to work on that this afternoon on the range."

Rozner had a more colourful round with an eagle at the par-4 3rd, four birdies, a bogey and a double bogey at the par-5 5th to move down into third place at 18-under

Finland's Kalle Samooja lies in fourth place at 17-under after closing with a 68.

One shot further behind, Australia's Min Woo Lee closed with a 66 for a share of fifth place alongside England's Tommy Fleetwood who produced two bogeys on the front nine to make the turn in 38 but made up for them with six birdies on the back nine for a 68.
