Barbasol Championship 2021 R3
July 15-18
Keene Trace Golf Club, Nicholasville, Kentucky
$3,500,000
Round 1, Round 2, Round 4

Estimated reading time: 7 minutes

J.T. Poston carded a bogey-free 66 to reach 19-under in the Barbasol Championship at Keene Trace. A win on Sunday would be his second on the PGA Tour following the 2019 Wyndham Championship.

“It was another good one, bogey-free, which is always nice around here. Never want to give any back when everybody's making some birdies.”

Barbasol Championship 2021 R3

Luke List, who has yet to win on Tour, shot a bogey-free 65 to lie one shot behind the leader.

“I'm going to lean on my ball-striking,” said List. “I've been striking it really well the last few days. If I can hole a few putts, I'll be right there.”

Barbasol Championship 2021 R3

James Hahn narrowly missed a chance to add his name to the list of players who shot below 60.

He started his round eight shots behind Poston and produced eight birdies and two eagles at the par-5s 5th and 15th.

“When I looked at the leaderboard, it said that I was 11-under and I could swear I was 10. I had no idea what I was shooting at that point, I had to double-check the scorecard and that was kind of the 'Oh, boy' moment. Yeah, then you start thinking crazy things coming down the stretch, but I pulled it together.”

His approach from 132 yards at the 18th spun back, leaving him with a 35-foot putt for birdie that he missed. Hahn closed with a 12-under 60, two shots behind Poston.

“I thought it was really good, I thought I had a perfect number,” said Hahn. “Balls weren't spinning back at all all day, so I thought it's pin high. I had no idea it was going to spin back 20 feet.

“To come up one short stings a little bit.”

Jim Furyk's 58 in the 2016 Travelers Championship set the Tour record.

Joseph Bramlett fired six birdies and a single bogey at the par-4 12th for a 67 to join Hahn at 17-under.
